According to sources, NMJ Ghana, organizers of the City Invasion Tamale
concert which featured J Martins, Selebobo, Itz Tiffany, Bisa K’Dei and
others is having a tussle with Rebotec, a car company which drove crew
members to Tamale for the concert.
On their return to Accra, the bus carrying the crew was overturned on
the Nsawam road due to reckless driving resulting in the hospitalization
of several of the passenger with varying degrees of injuries.
Sources say Rabotec is treating the incident as just another accident,
failing to take responsibility for the driver’s careless driving.
Rabotec has shown no interest in supporting accident victims, with the excuse that their insurance would cover the incident.
In an even more insensitive move, Rabotec went ahead to cash a
post-dated cheque in spite of a request by NMJ Ghana to hold on to
cashing the money since, the accident victims were being taking care of
with funds from that account.
